Have you ever wondered what makes us form unhealthy habits when it comes to our well-being physical? Is there more to this than just bring what “we prefer”? Is it really that “healthy” people simply prefer healthier foods, while others prefer unhealthy foods?
turns out that many of the foods that people consume on a regular basis is very addictive, and most of the time their eating habits begin to develop at a very young age. Many studies have shown that sugar, in particular, can be as addictive as heroin, but many parents are simply unaware of it. Although, of course, all parents want the best for their children, who often do not realize the damage they are causing to choose to feed them certain foods.
If children are being fed a diet high in sugar, sodium, and foods processed from an early age, then there is a good chance that eating habits will follow them into their adult life, and finally, it will be transmitted to their children as well. Why not break the cycle?
The video below shows powerfully exactly what can happen when this story unfolds.
How can you get your kids to eat healthy?
If you can, try to cut as many artificial flavorings, colorings and sugar as possible. Try to give fresh pressed juice instead of sugar store bought juices and show the fruits and vegetables you are using in your meals. I have heard many parents that if children get involved in the preparation process by making their meals and snacks, which are more likely to want to eat later. Give them a variety of different foods to choose from. The most important thing is to set the example – if you are eating and enjoying healthy foods to their children who just want to do the same! I imagine explain to them where the food is coming from them could get more excited about eating well.
If you can stop this cycle early, do it! This is just one of the many ways that change the world.
