This Is How A Small Iron Fish Is Changing Many Lives

Iron deficiency affects more than 3.5 million people worldwide mostly women and children in developing countries. In order to address this problem, the concept of iron fish emerged, ie, “The Lucky Fish Iron” project that was developed by health workers in Canada in Cambodia in 2008. The team discovered the revolutionary solution for this problem in Cambodia because almost half the population is deficient in iron. The aim of the project was to provide a cheap source of iron. Fish 3-advanced iron Dr. Charles weighs 200 grams and provides 75% of the recommended adult iron, in order to dilute the subject daily intake. The results were surprising.


A couple of years ago the mental and physical growth of children in Cambodia was very slow and most children born with the risk of death. The team started with the name Iron fish and then later changed to Lucky Iron fish. It really became fortunate for those living in Cambodia.

The use of fish is very easy. First you must folded in a cooking vessel with a few drops of lemon and boil for about 10 minutes. The iron fish will not change the taste of food, but only add enough iron in it.

The Cambodian people accept it because it is easy to use and not too expensive. This metallic fish has great potential to eradicate the problem with anemia, which is a major public health problem.
