I’ve been getting a lot of mail from readers make a similar question. Most are like this MK in Philadelphia: “I go for an annual checkup with my doctor soon I want to make sure I’m doing the right tests What is the number one anti-aging test should I ask my doctor.. ? “
is a big question. The problem is your doctor has probably never heard of the top anti-aging test recommend.
You see, I want to know what’s going on with you at the cellular level. And so I think it is essential to measure telomeres.
Telomeres are an important part of human cells that affect how our cells age.
Now you know Telomeres are the protective caps at the end of each DNA strand. When you are young their telomeres are long. But each time a cell divides the telomeres become shorter .
Over time, their telomeres become so short that they can not protect their DNA too. When a cell divides, the new cells are defective. It begins to present the signs and diseases of aging.
The short telomeres dramatically increase the risk of serious diseases. They have been linked to an increase in the rate of 300% deaths from heart disease. They are also linked to a death rate of 800% higher infectious diseases. 1
By measuring their telomeres, I can tell your “biological age.” True Telomeres are the strongest indicator of how fast you are aging and age is really .
So let’s say that is tested when you’re 60 years old. It takes four to six weeks to get the results. I could see from the test results that have a biological age of a person who is 64. In other words, you are aging faster than it should be.
One thing I like to do immediately is to give you a plan to activate telomerase.
If you’re a regular reader, already know Telomerase is the enzyme that rebuilds telomeres. When lit, their telomeres become increasingly longer. It slows down aging. Your body starts to create younger and younger cells.
The next time I test their telomeres, which should be longer. I can show you a graph of how much younger than their biological age.
I use a test telomere a company called Life Length. Technology analysis of telomeres (TAT) was developed by Dr. Maria Blasco, one of the principal investigators of telomeres in the world.
TAT is the best proof of telomeres in the market. And it has been shown in clinical studies required. 2
Most laboratories can only measure “average length of telomeres.” The average length is good to know, but it’s not the whole story.
You see, every cell in your body has 92 telomeres. Some may have a healthy length. Others may be in trouble. TAT test only tells you how many “ critically short ” telomeres you have.
“critically short” means that 70% and 80% of telomeres has already been eroded.
Those are the ones that can cause permanent cell damage.
When the telomeres become critically short that activate the p53 gene. This gene gives the signal for the cell enters emergency stop. The cell stops growing or dividing. Energy production plummets. Antioxidant activity drops. Free radicals attack and telomeres become critically short.
As Harvard researchers explain, critically short telomeres can launch a “ death spiral .” 3
This is why it is so important to have an idea of the length of their telomeres. By analysis of telomere length made, you could be in control of your health and your life.
When I tested a group of my own patients, their average biological age was 58 years. Then I put them in a protocol designed to activate the enzyme telomerase.
After 30 months the average age of the group was reduced from 14 years to 44 years. I’ve seen some people spend their biological age from 20 to 30 years!

Even if you can not do an analysis of their telomeres, you can still protect them. Poor diet, lack of exercise, stress or all may accelerate wear their countdown clocks.
In just one year you can change the length of their telomeres with some simple changes in your routine.
This is what can be done at this time to activate telomerase and grow their telomeres.
- eat more fruits and vegetables. Diets low in refined carbohydrates and high in fruits and vegetables are associated with longer telomeres.
Eat more foods rich in magnesium such as leafy green vegetables is associated with longer telomeres. Canned magnesium and DNA repair. Increase your magnesium levels by eating kale, spinach, chard and algae. Other good choices include quinoa, lentils, almonds, sesame seeds, avocado, spirulina, and dark chocolate.
- Exercise. Studies show people who do little or no exercise are most at risk of short telomeres. A study of 2,401 twins found vigorous exercise can lead to telomere acting nine years younger.
My PACE exercise program is the only system that refers specifically to the challenges of aging. It allows you to get the right amount of effort to provide anti-aging benefits. And it takes as little as 12 minutes per day.
- Reduce stress. I often recommend meditation for my patients. It is one of the best ways to reduce stress. And you can also activate telomerase activity. In a study of 39 caregivers, half listening to music “relaxation”. The other half meditation only 12 minutes a day practicing. After only eight weeks, the activity of telomerase in the meditation group jumped 43%. The relaxation group rose a measly 3.7%.
- raise HDL levels. One of the best ways to keep their telomeres is simply raise HDL cholesterol as high as possible. In one study, people with the highest HDL had longer telomeres.
An easy way to increase HDL cholesterol is to take a special form of vitamin E called tocotrienols. Vitamin E is actually a group of eight nutrients four tocopherols and four tocotrienols. Studies show that tocotrienols give a huge boost your HDL. Find a tocotrienol supplement the largest amount of gamma and delta tocotrienols as possible.
- boost your folic acid. Folate or folic acid is one of the vitamin B complex Studies show men with the highest levels of folic acid have longer than low folate telomeres.
folate acts by counteracting the effects of the amino acid homocysteine. High levels of homocysteine in the blood can triple the rate at which telomeres shorten.
recommend getting 800 mcg of folic acid every day for their telomeres. calf’s liver is one of the richest sources with 215 mcg in just three ounces. dairy products, poultry, meat, eggs, fish and seafood are other good choices. Among vegetables, leafy greens are a good source. Try spinach, broccoli, asparagus and Brussels sprouts.
can also take a folic acid supplement. But do not overdo it. Too much folic acid can mask the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency.
- Take a potent antioxidant. Raising the level of vitamin C in cells could slow telomere shortening up to 62% .A study showed that vitamin C also stimulates the activity of telomerase in the formation and regeneration of stem cells.
to help reverse aging, I recommend taking 5,000 mg to 8,000 mg per day. Be sure to divide that amount into multiple smaller doses throughout the day.
