HEALTH, SEX Things are a bit boring in the bedroom these days? A brief “good night, dear” kiss on the cheek and then the lights go adrift (or look at the ceiling and count some sheep jumping fence).

Is this scenario with your spouse happens night after night? Where is the intimacy, excitement and pleasure of sex? What was it like making that connection with your spouse lost, displaced in the task list by mere household chores and at the end of the day fatigue?

The truth is, a love relationship needs sex. Not every week, mind you, but often enough so you can know that you are loved, cherished, and you can experience all these hormones increase health that flood the body during physical intimacy. It is necessary that sufficient frequency that can express and share those feelings of love with your spouse.

is the sex really that important?

A perfect relationship may be beyond the reach of science, but we studied a lot about what they do successful couples. Sex is the height of the top priorities. Regardless of age, sex more you have, the higher the level of relationship satisfaction and good health. The two are closely linked.

In a remarkable study in 2012 of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health looked at 732 married couples, aged 65 to 92, and the data of the 2010-2011 wave of the National Social Life Health and Aging Project (NSHAP). NSHAP, which began in 2005 at the University of Chicago, is a population study of social and health factors that relate to the welfare of the elderly.

The researchers examined data from 2010 to 2011 based on interviews and tests “biomeasures” in-house – including blood pleasure, waist circumference, blood samples and saliva, and the role of smell, taste, touch and vision. They made a direct link between more frequent sexual activity and higher marital quality.

a positive relationship was also found, high-quality marriage translated into better mental and physical health. If a little canoodling can be maintained in good health, why not?

Well, I can not imagine my elderly parents get busy too often. But I know that when you have been away for a weekend or holiday, both are happier and refreshed. What happens on vacation stays holiday, of course, and my family was never one to open about intimate matters.

However, experts say that the key to revive your sex life is to learn how to communicate about their sexual needs or their reasons for not wanting to have sex. That may be too much to expect from an older generation raised to keep quiet about sexual needs and desires, but to address the issue of sex, and find a happy medium when it comes to frequency, it is important for overall satisfaction relationship .

The fact that it is an older person does not mean you can not enjoy sex more. As with all good things, it is something you have to work. You have to make it a priority and schedule it on the same date night or dinner with an old friend.

Maybe your sex life discoloration is not just fall out of habit or lack of energy. Perhaps you feel as if your libido just got up and left permanently …

Well, talk with your partner is a building block for better sex, but food can play a important role also. There are conventional aphrodisiacs like oysters and chocolate dipped strawberries (love those!), But these are sweeter “special occasion”.

I would like to consider other foods that can work in your daily diet – or exchange -. To accelerate their energy and stoke their libido

Get more protein from plants: I like a good steak as much as the next person, but red meat can be high in saturated fats that can clog arteries and prevent good circulation and blood flow. Our private parts need a good flow of blood to function well!

Saturated fat can also raise your “bad” LDL cholesterol levels impeding the libido and sexual performance. Instead of letting the red

flesh

Protein is essential but must cut quality red meat rarely. Try to get more protein from plants, such as nuts, seeds, soy and legumes. There are a lot of options and recipes to try. A kidney bean chili can be really dig in and enjoy!

Better Sex by eating cereals: for a quick breakfast, there is something to say about a cereal box. If you choose a whole grain 100 percent that is low in sugar, you can benefit from zinc added. Most boxed cereals are fortified with zinc, but refined flour and sugar deny the benefits of the added nutrients.

Zinc is a great enhancer sex – is what makes a powerful aphrodisiac oysters. The Cleveland Clinic reports that zinc also helps preserve testosterone while zinc deficiency has been linked to impotence.

Swap junk food: Are cookies and chips part of your routine of watching TV every night? Junk food is high in refined carbohydrates, sugars and trans fats, matter is bad for blood flow and can cause inflammation. Poor blood circulation will not put you in the mood for sex, and inflammation can mean pain and discomfort, so the last thing you will feel is a roll in the hay.

Instead of junk food, try snacking on fresh-cut vegetables and fruit with some yogurt sauce on the side. The trick is to cut and prepare in advance and have them ready to go in containers in the refrigerator. Nutrients and fiber fruits and vegetables boost your immune system and protect you from heart disease and certain cancers. They make strong, healthy and full of energy for sex.

is that coffee or tea chai? Try to change out your coffee after dinner for a cup of chai tea. The traditional Indian drink is flavored to make love. His ginger, cloves and cinnamon get your blood flowing, but the effect is less caffeine so you will still be able to fall asleep easily. Coffee is a stimulant that increases heart rate and blood flow to increase your sex drive, so you can still enjoy a cup or three during the day; just consider avoiding it at night.

In a study in the journal Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Behavior found that female rats that had their first dose of caffeine before mating were faster than females uncaffeinated rats quickly return to the male rat after sex – for round Two!

spicing things up with chilies: Instead of using salt to flavor your food, try chili flakes. Excess salt can put at risk for high blood pressure, which can affect blood flow -. Poor blood circulation is a libido-killer

Chiles, on the other hand, can get warm in all the right places. They contain capsaicin, a chemical that stimulates endorphins to feel good, accelerates the heart rate and makes you sweat, mimicking the state of sexual arousal. Sprinkle scales on their pasta, soups, stews and more.

Try sweetener nature: When it comes to birds and bees, honey is a symbol of procreation. The word “honeymoon” owes its name to mead, an alcoholic drink made of honey and the couple offered.

There is more to this natural sweetener :. Honey also contains boron, an essential nutrient that helps regulate levels of estrogen and testosterone and provides a natural energy boost (both good for sex)

My bottom line? Do not abandon your sex life just because you have a few aches and pains, along with those gray hairs. With age comes wisdom, and a better understanding and appreciation of those who are closest to us. So give some consideration your sex life -. And start building healthier foods in your diet

The reward not only increase your desire for physical intimacy, it will make more positive and fulfilling relationship. That’s a gift for both!
