SimySkin began as a business venture between you and Dr. Uri Sagman. What made the hole he is seen in the industry skin care that needs to be filled?
Dr. Sagman and I go back a number of years: over the last 15 years we have operated a biotechnology company, KYTO IP. Along with SUNY (State University of New York), Kyto has developed a monoclonal antibody that targets solid tumors for which it has obtained protection of intellectual property throughout the world for its technology platform vitamin B12 objective. The development of a biotechnology company to clinical stage is very expensive and I was looking for ways to “leverage” some of our expertise in a trading company, is expected to generate cash flow. The market for skin care came to mind, as always addressed through the side of dermatology, but could be addressed through the side “oncology” due to the exponential growth of skin cancers. Today, cancer of 1 in 3 is related to the skin: every year between 2 and 3 million skin cancers (carcinoma type) and about 150,000 are diagnosed melanomas. Vitamin B12, like other key ingredients that protect the skin against UVA and UVB, as Teprenone and Capprylic acid, protect skin degradation and DNA damage. SimySkin decided to develop in sera of priority without being “doctor” could be efficient and innovative enough to enter the “average market price” which allows:. A) prevention, b) maintenance, c) repair
Dr. Sagman created a nanomedecine company that discovered the receptor for vitamin B12. How to use SimySkin B12 in your skin care? Why do you think that is an anti-aging ingredient so essential?
Dr. Sagman was actually involved with a nano biotechnology company, this company, however is not related to Kyto IP or vitamin B12. As mentioned previously, vitamin B12 IP was developed (not invented as the invention relates to the carrier protein Transcobolamin B12) with SUNY (State University of New York). Today, Kyto has a portfolio of product candidates based on patented technology platform vitamin B12.
SimySkin uses vitamin B12 as a “signature ingredient” with certain property rights, not “own” Vitamin B12 is called Colobamin as it is a water-soluble vitamin that is key to our brain and our system nervous. It is normally involved in the metabolism of each cell, which affects the DNA. Why SimySkin as vitamin B12 and why is it essential? It helps regenerate skin cells; moisturizes and softens; which improves elasticity and firmness; It prevents, reduces wrinkles and repairs; that soothes chapped skin and fades, softens old scars.
anti-aging What new ingredients are excited?
SimySkin does its best to be at the forefront of research into new natural ingredients, which can be combined effectively with vitamin B12. In our sera, we are very happy with ingredients such as hibiscus, galactic acid, Essenkin, seaweed extract and extract daisy globe. hibiscus extract is one of the most potent anti-aging active plants: it is rich in antioxidants, increases skin elasticity and gives an impressive boost to the skin. seaweed extract is rich in vitamins, minerals and promotes skin hydration and anti-inflammatory properties combines great-aging and against. Daisy balloon detoxifies the skin by removing damaged proteins and other environmental stresses (UV, smoke, pesticides). We have set as a guard against aging, because it provides protection against oxidative stress, thereby reducing the effect of cellular aging.
What kind of skin care product should every woman (or man!) More than 40 have in your medicine cabinet?
Sera !! They are powerful and more efficient than any other product of skin care. Serums are concentrated with various active ingredients and have to do without very little. They are very effective, made of tiny molecules that allows faster and deeper penetration into the skin. A nutrient tanks serum, whereas a cream is intended for hydration. Note that the thicker or a product is the heaviest of the ingredients it contains, the more it becomes a barrier to penetration into the skin. Serums are ideal for people with oily skin or who like the lighter finish and not greasy or sticky residue. Furthermore, sera results provide great reduction of fine lines, increasing hydration, elasticity and luminosity of the skin. SimySkin line is compact way, we now have 11 products (15 SKUs) and at the same time we are working a few more products to add to our line, we recommend all our products be used by women or men: most, all days, others bi -weekly.
If a connoisseur of skin care before starting SimySkin? Have you changed your routine skin care since the launch of the company? What are some of your favorite products?
LOL, no, it was not a connoisseur. I am an investment banker and was always intrigued (and impressed) by the “personal care industry.” As a man, the ingredients get a little exposed to the brands, through living with wives, mother, sisters (4 in my case), friends. Until from SimySkin, which very rarely anything used in my face, and soap or shaving cream, but since then, for the past 25 years, I have spent a lot of time in Palm Beach and I love the beach I was aware of the damage caused by constant exposure to sunlight. I must admit that since I came into the business of skin care, I’ve been using some of the SimySkin products. As for me, I use all the “he / she” products: moisturizer, cleansing (morning & night), scrub in the morning and mask 2 or 3 times a week. To be honest, I have not gotten around using the sera SimySkin however, although I know (and have told me!) That are spectacular!
What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned about skin care as from SimySkin?
skin care is a serious issue: you are trying to make products that deliver results and not disappoint. The anti-aging space is even more serious, while facing with the promise to deliver something to a consumer who has expectations and is always very motivated and very knowledgeable. Formulation requires a lot of research and development to keep their products safe, efficient and innovative. In that sense, we are very thorough in making independent testings of products, individual ingredients and ensure that we meet the various health regulators (CNCP, the FDA, Health Canada). When this is all done, you need to follow the many stages from manufacturing to packaging and marketing considering that want to offer an attractive product at a reasonable price.
