After a woman had shook the world with a cancer diagnosis has resorted to social networks to disseminate knowledge and encourage others to get any suspicious growths and marks on their removed as soon as possible bodies.
thought it was just a fungal infection or wart. But she was about to have her whole world was shaken.
The truth was much worse.
“Unfortunately no,” Williams posted on Facebook when I knew it was not a wart but cancer.
The mother of three was diagnosed with melanoma, a form of skin cancer that surgery could eliminate.
“I was lucky, cancer [hasn’t] spread and have already removed next week along with half of my thumb,” he wrote. “This may not have been the case if he had left it and not have to be seen.”
Williams made it clear that his skin cancer appeared quickly in just a matter of weeks.
“I do not want your pity, I want more awareness,” he wrote. “Therefore, please go to look for any changes or growths on the skin unprotected, please tell people around to get checked too.”
Williams seems to have accomplished its mission. Since she shared his photo July 8, its publication has been shared on Facebook 120,000 times.
