There was something about that first time I was pregnant mom brought this raw, bear protection instinct in me. Always he intrigued me, of course, goes on topics related to health, but I was pretty relaxed in studying things too. While definitely did my research about certain health issues, I never gave too much importance to simple things, like a common cold, skin rash, or insect bites.
But the first time one of my children has a cold I was on the island of pharmacy in the store completely overwhelmed and there was something in those ingredient labels that send signals alarm big fat mama bear in my head.
Motherhood has a way to pull in research and learning with both feet do not first? From that day I started looking for more ways to avoid modern chemicals in products and fell in love with the ingredients so that they are right in the simple nature were created for the purpose of balance, healing and soothing.
Here are some tips if you are starting with the use of natural resources in their home ::
- Start slowly. Do not go broke buying all the grass on the planet at once, or watch out to buy any item. Choose one or two things that commonly hit home – say that maybe the common cold and allergies and try things out there
- Give it time.. Some natural remedies, in fact, cure or soothe super fast. However some work with your body to help heal more naturally. We have become quite the instant gratification society with our drugs that kill a headache in 10 minutes. Let nature work their magic over time. Sometimes those little things like a cold or flu are our body telling us it’s time to rest. Getting better in a day is not doing your body any favors when the disease was really to make your body rest in the first place.
- can not give up. Like most things, what works for some does not work for everyone all the time. Usually there is more than one way to approach things. Be patient and give things a little time, and if you do not feel well try another.
While I have 3 children in this thing and I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of natural resources with my own eyes, most definitely still am remedy natural “rookie” – I have yet to look at things when a new ailment that happens in my house. I have yet to review and remind myself what certain herbs or tactics work best for this or that.
That’s why I was super excited to get my hands on the new book Natural Remedies for Kids ! I need something fast I can get my shelf and easily read when I have something new to deal with! My friend Kate Tietje who blogs at modern alternative Momma is a mom with 5 * experience * Children raised naturally. With so many feet pitter patter running, you bet you’ve seen almost everything! She wrote the book in collaboration with Dr. Bob Zajac, M. D. and throughout the book are not easy to find, “says Dr. Bob” sections with very informative tidbits.
Natural Remedies for Kids is a comprehensive guide for almost any known cure and treatment for children! It’s so easy to read. I am not an herbalist. In fact sometimes herbal books get really overwhelming I shot over my head. This book is very well distributed, with sections describing what diseases are actually, how it is produced and how it is best treated, calm, or remediated. Better still, the ingredients are easy to find.
