Fish oil helps the body burn fat

Natural Health News – New research has found that fish oil can transform cells of fat storage in cells to burn fat, which can help reduce weight gain in middle age.

According to the study of scientific reports Nature oil activates fish receptors in the digestive tract, and triggers the activity of the sympathetic nervous system which induces specific type of cells fat to metabolize fat.

fat tissues do not store all the fat. “White” called cells store fat in order to maintain energy supplies, while “brown” cells metabolize fat to maintain a stable body temperature. brown cells are abundant in infants, but diminish in number with maturity in adulthood. What you need to know

Humans have three types of fat cells, white, brown and beige cells newly discovered.

Brown fat cells metabolize and beige for temperature control, while white cells store fat for energy. The number of brown and beige cells decline as we age.

But Japanese researchers have found that consuming more fish oil can help turn white cells storage cells metabolize beige and contribute to weight loss .

A third type of fat cell – cell “Beige” – have recently been discovered in humans and mice, and have proven to work much brown cells. Beige cells also reduced in number that people approach middle age; without these cells metabolize the fat continues to accumulate for decades without being used.

Scientists investigated whether the number of these cells beige could be increased by increasing the intake of fish oils.

storage for metabolism

“We knew from previous research that fish oil has enormous health benefits, including preventing the accumulation of fat,” says lead author, Teruo Kawada. “We tested whether fish oil and an increase in beige cells might be related.”

The team fed one group of mice fatty foods, and other four groups received fatty foods with four different types of fish oil enriched with either low or high doses of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) low or high dose. Whatever type of fish oil supplemented with mice in groups gained 5-10% less weight and 15 to 25% less fat compared to those who do not consume any oil.

Both DHA and EPA rich oils produced similar results, and scientists speculate that if combined that could have a more potent synergistic effect.

The study also found that cells beige formed from white fat cells when the sympathetic nervous system is activated, which means that certain cells in fat storage may change from storage cells for metabolizing cells.

Although this was an animal study that points the way toward understanding how different aspects of diet can help or hinder health.

“People have always said that food from Japan and the Mediterranean contributes to longevity, but why these kitchens are beneficial was the subject of discussion,” said Kawada. “We now have a better idea why whatever.”
