What is epigenetics
Epigenetics is the study of changes in organisms caused by modification of gene expression. “Epi” means the above epigenetic means above genes.
In his book, The Biology of Belief, Dr. Lipton explains the basis of epigenetics and how the true secret of health is not in their DNA.
What changes its genes
Dr. Lipton explains that has cell membranes and DNA within them. Cell membranes “read” all external signals from its environment and changes in the genes accordingly. External signals that read are:
- Food / water
- air, noise , etc.
So this means that what we eat, what we think and what we feel CONTROLS how our genes are expressed- for better or for worse.
Epigenetics shows that our body has the amazing ability to adapt and stay in health, no matter what genes you have. This is the gift of God that we are not victims of our biology, but we are in control of it!
This also means that our health is in our hands and we have a choice. . . we have a choice to eat healthy or not. We have a choice to control our thoughts and reactions of a good or bad way. We have the option of holding on to toxic emotions like unforgiveness, envy and bitterness. Our body and health can not hide the choices we have made.
thoughts and emotions Change of Gene Expression
Thought affects gene expression in cells of the brain and the rest of the body. This in turn affects the structure, function and health of the body. Toxic thought damages the normal functioning of the body.
An experiment was conducted by the Institute of Heartmath, and was human placental DNA which is the most pristine DNA. It is placed in a container from which they could measure their changes.
Twenty-eight were given 28 vials of DNA to researchers, who were specially trained in how to generate and feel strong emotions on demand. The results were surprising.
Each DNA sample changed shape according to the feelings of their research:
- When the researchers felt love, joy and gratitude, the DNA responded by relaxing . the threads unwound and actually lengthened
- When the researchers felt anger, fear, frustration or stress, the DNA hardened, became shorter, and even off many of its codes!
- When the researchers felt love, joy and gratitude again reconnection codes.
The thoughts we think and the emotions we feel are constantly reshaping our DNA.
The human body physically responds to what he thinks is reality
Our mind and thoughts are the signal to our genes. Your beliefs can actually determine their biology. If you believe your body can heal, they are healthy and strong, their DNA responds to those beliefs. If you think you have bad genes, their disease needs healing outside yourself DNA also responds to that.
The fact that cancer, heart problems or any other problems in your family, does not mean you have to fight with her. However, if you believe you want, your body will respond to the beliefs and expressing genes to comply with that belief.
Our thoughts and beliefs have a major impact on our DNA and health than ever imagined- and evidence continues to grow.
Food and Environment Changes of Gene Expression
The food we eat, how we sleep, how well we move, are all incredibly important in changing their genes to create the optimal YOU . Certain foods and supplements may also alter the way our genes are expressed.
Nutrigenomics :. The scientific study of the interaction of genes and nutrition, particularly in relation to the prevention or treatment of disease
Based on their specific genes, you can eat and supplement in a way that It allows optimal expression of their own genes and can disable any “bad” gene might have.
Example: Many people have a gene called MTHFR. This gene makeup is difficult for the body to detoxify and convert folic acid in the body is important for methylation in the body. Methylation controls numerous functions in the body stay healthy (too much to explain in this post). If you have this gene, you can eat in a certain way and take activated forms of folate to counter that gene and stay healthy!
We must understand that:
- Every food you eat and the water quality drinking affects every cell in your body and DNA
- the foods you eat are the building blocks for all body organs-that is what you eat.
- food affects how you feel, how you think, and every biochemical reaction in your body.
- The food you eat changes its genes and affects the next 3 generations later!
Sleep is as important as the food:
- Sleep is when the body heals, repairs, and make new cells.
- sleep affects the way you think, your metabolism, your mood, appearance, and prevents disease.
doing the following on a regular basis indicate gene expression-positive and even reverse the disease.
Conclusion: We are not victims of our biology
Now that we realize our destiny is not sealed in our genes, we are open to a new world of possibilities. There are things we can do to change our genetics, and therefore our health.
However- these changes can be good or bad. It works both ways. You can improve your genetics or may damage it.
Indeed, you are changing your daily genetics and perhaps even every hour from the food you eat, the air you breathe, and even the thoughts you have.
You are the “driver” of your resume genetic pathway. And not only its roadmap, but the thoughts and emotions that you feel, the food you eat, and how well they also happen to detoxify down 3 generations! This is why diet before conception and detoxification protocol is critical.
