Bottega Organica Eye Contour Serum

by Beth H.

used Bottega Organica Serum Eye Contour ($ 195 in store) twice daily, morning and night. I had most of my normal life beautiful skin, but is now dry with occasional outbreaks. I’m in my forties, so I guess that’s to be expected. I have some fine lines around the eyes. I have not seen any difference in them, but I also did not expect.

One of the first things I noticed about it is that it is a very watery serum. I’m used to serums that are much thicker. It is also a dark brown with a faint ammonia-like odor. The smell does not bother me when in my face, but I do not like it in my hands; I always wash afterwards.

The packaging is very nice. It comes in a heavy frosted glass bottle with a smaller serum bottle inside and a pump on top. Since it has such a thin consistency that is easy through the pump and lose a lot. I found what works best is pumping into my palm and then apply with your finger. I have still much left after four weeks; I hope it lasts a good two to three months.

Editor’s note: Bottega Organica has updated its packaging and this serum is now in a glass bottle with a dropper. The dropper bottle is the version sold in the truth in aging Store.

All ingredients except water, are listed as organic. No preservatives, which is just what we are looking for!

Ingredients include chestnut horse , cucumber, mallow and sage prawns. Horse chestnut has been found to be recipients votes withblood and circulation, as well as swelling and inflammation. I have broken capillaries on the face so it is not something to report about it. It may have helped with the bags under the eyes, but it could have been the cucumber too. Malva is an anti-inflammatory painkiller.

When I saw prawns sage was not sure whether it would be able to use it; I have a severe allergy to seafood and definitely I can not eat shrimp. Luckily for me prawns sage it is a plant called for its shrimp-like shape and that’s the closest I get to the real thing. You can read the review of serum face of Bottega Organica Marta and learn more about the inclusion of sage prawns in their products here .

The instructions say to follow with a facial oil or balm. I use argan oil as a makeup remover, so I continued with my usual moisturizer eye. I have not really found the moisturizing serum sufficient, by itself, so using something moisturizer, as suggested, really works best.

The viscosity, color and smell of one side, which affected both puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. They were bothering me a little when I started using it. The improvements are not exactly dramatic; Still use under eye concealer, but less than it used to, however, I have fallen in special bags ..
