For years experts have been discussing the effect of timing of food in weight control. Does eating a meal more lead in more weight loss?
When should dieters eat more calories?
Some people skip breakfast, while others skimp on lunch which consume most of your calories at night. A new study suggests that might be better served by eating a good lunch and going light on dinner.
Eighty overweight women were recruited and randomly assigned to a main meal at lunch or dinner. This weight loss study lasted three months. The researchers found that dieters to get more calories at lunch achieve greater weight loss. Also they reduced their body mass index and insulin resistance.
This preliminary research suggests that people who try to lose weight could benefit from a larger lunch and go light dinner.
