Ayurveda on Pain and Back Ache

Pain in any part of the body is a common phenomenon, which ensures to return again and again. Although medications available on the market do not offer temporary relief, few can provide a permanent solution. Among the different schools of drugs available, Ayurveda has proven very beneficial because their medicines are dependent on natural methods and never really have side effects. In the lexicon Ayurveda, aches and pains are considered as consequences of a dosha in balance and all drugs that target to put it back to its former state of equilibrium. The various ways in which Ayurveda treats pain and back pain are –

1. Ayurveda Panchakarma:

As the name suggests, is a panchakarma procedure five times, directed to purge the body of accumulated toxins. It is massaging the body with herbal oil and a particular method, known as Abhyanga is particularly useful in the treatment of back pain. In this step before the other four, it is given a massage oil that penetrates the body and improves blood circulation thereby that pain relief.

2. Drugs:

Ayurveda also boasts of a multitude of drugs, each given to perform particular tasks. Several medicines like triphala guggul, Lakshadiguggul are particularly useful in the treatment of this condition. Asthavargam, another famous Ayurvedic medicine, available both in liquid and tablets also reduces backaches and pain.

3. stay home and hot:

Back pain and pain can occur due to several reasons. While increasing age is an important factor, often too cold can cause back problems. In such a situation, applying warm compresses to the affected areas or something as simple as staying at home can significantly reduce the intensity of pain.

4. pay attention to what you eat:

Pain is always the physical manifestation of something wrong internally. Therefore, it goes without saying that what you eat also controls the intensity of their pain. It is generally believed in Ayurveda that if you eat a lot of green chilies or spicy food consumed continuously, which inadvertently will aggravate your back pain. It is imperative, therefore, that attention is paid to what you eat and stay away from the spices. The operating logic behind this is that spices have a tendency to dry the body, something that causes “vata dosha” and thus increases the pain intensity.
